not, we're here and we have the time - and..it's a tiny bit cheaper

17.02. Mile 8 outside
Swakopmund. Mark took us shark fishing and we spent a lovely
afternoon on the beach trying to catch sharks and other species.
We caught one tiny shark but something significantly larger pulled
the line for about 10 minutes before it decided to let the bait go. 17.02. Mile 8 utafor Swakopmund. Mark tok oss med på haifisketur og vi tilbragte en flott ettermiddag på stranda. Vi fikk en liten hai men noe betydelig større dro ut snøret i 10 minutter før det slapp agnet. |

18.02. On our way to Tiger Reef
restaurant on the beach to watch the sun setting and getting
something to eat. It's very windy but still we could spot a
couple of guys diving for crayfish. 18.02. På vei til Tiger Reef restaurant på stranda for å se på solnedgangen og finne noe å spise. Det er sterk vind men likevel kunne vi se et par karer som dykket etter languster. |

| 20.02. Time to go camping
in the desert with Sigrid and Berti. They took us to Nakluft
national park. We found a nice spot to camp a few km from a
waterhole. 20.02. På tide å dra på campingtur med Sigrid og Berti. De tok oss med til Nakluft nasjonalpark. Vi fant en fin plass noen km fra et vannhull. |

| 21.02. Morning! Sylvi
and Hilde are still sleeping. We slept in "open" tents so we
could watch the moon and the stars in the sky. There were many weird
sounds during the African night... 21.02. Morgen! Sylvi og Hilde sover fremdeles. Vi sov i "åpne" telt slik at vi kunne se månen og stjernene på himmelen. Det var mange rare lyder i den afrikanske natta.. |

breaking camp. It's time for a gamedrive. This area is
full of oryx, zebras, springboks and the occasional giraffe and
warthog and hyena. 21.02. Frokost og vi bryter opp leieren. På tide med en gamedrive. Dette området er fult av oryx, zebra, springbok og en og annen sjiraff og vortesvin og hyene. |

interesting places on our way back to Swakopmund. The rain and
a lot of weather have formed these rocks. 21.02. Vi stoppet flere interessante plasser på vei tilbake til Swakopmund. Regn og masse vær har formet disse steinene. |

| 23.02. We are on our way to
Fish River
Canyon in southern Namibia. We saw a lot of wildlife in
the green valleys during the 2 hour drive from Keetmanshoop to the
canyon. 23.02. Vi er på vei til Fish River Canyon i sørlige Namibia. Vi så masse ville dyr i de grønne dalene under den 2 timer lange kjøreturen fra Keetmanshoop til kløfta. |

the river has cut it's way through the landscape during millions of

| 24.02. We popped over
to the cheetahs in the afternoon to see the feeding and to pet them
- yeah, big pussycats. Tonight we're off to Cape Town. 24.02. Vi stakk over til cheetaene på ettermiddagen for å se på at de blir matet - ja, de er store pusekatter. Ikveld skal vi reise til Cape Town. |

We spent 15 hours on the bus from Keetmanshoop to Cape Town.
Andrew picked us up at the bus station and took us to the hotel on
the Waterfront. 25.02. Endelig i Cape Town! Vi tilbragte 15 timer på bussen fra Keetmanshoop til Cape Town. Andred plukket oss opp på bussterminal og tok oss til hotel på Waterfront. |

had dinner with Elmarie who happened to be in C.T. We met
Elmarie and her husband in Swakopmund last year. 25.02. På kvelden hadde vi middag med Elmarie som tilfeldigvis var i C.T. Vi traff Elmarie og mannen hennes i Swakopmund ifjor. |

and wine tasting. We are at the Simonsig winery, the first
winery what was opened to the public. I am smelling the
pinotage grapes. 26.02. Stellenbosch og vinsmaking. Vi er på Simonsig vingård, den første vingården som ble åpnet for publikum. Jeg lukter på pinotage druene. |

different white, red and bubbly wines and the guy behind the bar was
an expert on wines and thought us a lot about South African wines. 26.02. Vi fikk smake 5-10 forskjellige hvite, røde og bobbleviner og fyren bak baren var en vinekspert og lærte oss en masse om Sørafrikanske viner. |
